Version 2.0.1 - December 4th, 2007
- Resolved issue when activating Meander 2.0 using an older serial code.

Version 2.0 - December 4th, 2007
- Multiple lines can be created on the same map.
- Routes can be exported for the web.
- The area bounded by a route is calculated in the chosen units. It is displayed in the Measurements window
- Line properties (colours and thickness) are no longer application-wide preferences, but are saved with the route file. Therefore when multiple routes are shown, each can be a different style.
- Each line has its own Measurements window accessed via context menu, toolbar button or View menu.
- Acetate window has 'unified title/toolbar' look
- Progress bars used during lengthy operations - saving or optimising large image files.
- Inspector windows now float on top
- Fixes bug preventing images, circles and other objects from being deleted properly.
- NB When a route is exported for web, the journal will only be included if you are using 10.4 or higher
.

Version 1.6 (May 2007)
Circle object - for use as markers or to indicate a radius
Distance Markers - places special waypoints at chosen intervals
Rearranged menus - new Object menu for route objects, eg images, waypoits, text labels, distance markers
OK and Cancel buttons removed from object inspectors
Modifying the route is more intuitive; a single click adds a new point (previously double-click)

Version 1.5 (February 2007)
Exporting - previously the route could be exported as a JPEG. This option still exists, but alongside (File>Export...) is the option to export a Meander Route file which is suitable for emailing to another Meander user - ie a copy of the route file is made, with images optimised for sending by email. The resulting file is zipped up, and a dialog asks whether you'd like to save the file, or attach it to a new email. (Apple Mail app).
Toolbar - the acetate window's toolbar can be customised in the standard way (right- or control-click in the toolbar). Previously the distances (scale distance and total route distance) could be displayed either in the toolbar or in a separate window. Now they are always included in the distances window, and either or both can also be shown, if desired, in the acetate window's toolbar, along with a selection of new buttons.

Version 1.4 (January 2006)
Better file handling - File>Open... and File>Save As... use the standard open and save dialogue sheets which allow you to save or load a Meander route to or from any location.
The open dialogue will initially default to the folder that had last been used to store routes. From then on, the open and save dialogues will remember the last route file location. For new users, the applciation will default to the user's Documents folder for saving and loading routes.
The Browser still exists and is accessed via File>Browse. This presents a flat list of all routes which have been saved or opened.
Image attachments. Images can be added to a route. The image files are copied into the route file.
Journal - a notepad-like window which allows you to write notes about the route. A Format menu is provided in the main menu bar so that text can be formatted using standard pallettes. The journal is saved within the route file.
Any application data (not routes) saved by meander will now be saved in ~/Library/Application Support/Meander (previously ~/Library/Meander)

NB. pre-v1 routes are no longer supported. If upgrading to Meander 1.4 from a version which is v0.x, then it may not be possible to open existing route files, unless you upgrade to v1.3 first, open all routes and save them, before upgrading to v1.4

Version 1.3 (October 2006)
Waypoints - created by holding down option key or right-clicking on a regular point. Displayed in yellow
Text Labels - automatically displayed by waypoints *if the waypoint has a name*. Additional text labels can be created and placed anywhere in the acetate window
Inspector window for waypoints and text labels allowing entry of name and comments
Distance window features table showing lots of distance info between from and to waypoints
Closer to a document-based application - Meander route files have their own icon and can be double-clicked to open
Acetate window can be made totally transparent or totally opaque. This was prevented in earlier versions but no longer necessary now that the window has a thin line drawn around it.
A variety of cursor shapes help to indicate what the user can expect to happen.
Context menus added in a number of places
Distances show in browser window

Version 1.2
Reorganisation of some menu items
Better printing
Terms tidied up (Acetate window was sometimes called Tracing window etc.)
Some user interface cosmetic tweaks
Update check warns if not connected to the Internet

Version 1.1
Zoom facility (resize route to fit a rescaled map)
Better route browsing and organisation - iTunes-like system of library and user-defined categories.
Ability to choose routes folder

Version 1.0
Snapshot facility - 'fixes' your map to the Acetate window - it's saved with the route
Export route and map to jpeg
Decent help files added (found under the 'Help' menu)
Because the saved route now consists of route data as well as a map (and in future, other information), the way that the routes are saved is changed. Pre-v1 routes can still be opened and will be re-saved in the new format. This is invisible to the user. However, upgraded routes will not be opened by earlier versions of Meander.

Version 0.5
Scale can now be measured at any angle, so calibration can be made from a vertical scale, or any known distance between two points.

Version 0.4
- Route can be manipulated - If points are showing (command-R or View>Points), they can be dragged around. New points can be added by double-clicking on the line, and deleted by single-clicking and using the delete or backspace key
- Routes can be saved and re-loaded. With the browser open (command-O or File>Open), saved routes are displayed and switched with a single-click.
- The scale value and answer can be displayed in a toolbar at the top of the tracing window, or in a separate window - use the prefs window to choose.
- Inches and feet added for scale units and the answer units
- The drop shadow on the tracing window has been removed - it was seriously impairing performance.
- Presets have been added for the tracing line - highlighter pen, marker pen etc.

Version 0.3
- Preferences window added, allows changes to the colour and transparency of the traced line as well as the colour and transparency of the tracing window.
- 'Undo' added to the Edit menu, deletes the last point.
- Units can be selected for the read-out, so different units can be selected for the scaled and the answer.
- A number of settings are remembered, eg colours, line with, units.
- Read-out is now rounded to 3 decimal places (was 2).
- A small inaccuracy corrected.

Version 0.2
- Relaunched as Meander with some refinements

Version 0.1
- Released as Metro, withdrawn because of an existing application with the same name.
