Q. How do I play Galder?
A. On the Galder board is a set of gems arranged into circles. At the center is a needle. Use the mouse to aim it. If it points to a gem that has at least one neighbor of the same color, you can click the mouse to destroy them. The remaining stones will fall towards the center. Repeat this until you can't remove any more stones. You can move the stones around by rotating the rings. To do so, just drag them with your mouse or trackpad. You can also collapse a single column by clicking the rim around the board. It is possible to pack the stones in a ring together by clicking the thick vertical line above the center. For more info, try the in-game tutorial by clicking the Advisor button (the question mark).
Q. How do I play Galder online?
A. Galder has two modes of online play: the online highscore list where you can compare your results to other players online. To join this ranking, you need to purchase a license for Galder and then create a nickname and password at the Galder site. There are full instructions in your license e-mail. The other mode is when you want to challenge a friend to a game of Galder. For more information on how to do this, please refer to the manual or the in-game help by clicking the Advisor button (the question mark).
Q. How do I pause or abort a game of Galder?
A. Galder does not run without your involvement, so there is no need to pause it. To abort a game, just press Cmd-Q to quit, or click the quit button (the X). When you quit, all of your boards are saved, so you can quit at any time and never lose any progress.
Q. How can I switch from full screen to windowed mode?
A. Press the Fullscreen? button on the board (four arrows) or press Cmd-F to switch in and out of fullscreen. You can also exit fullscreen by pressing the Escape key.
